Everyone's joining the dynohub craze - SRAM are showing their new iLight front dynamo hubs. To be honest, first impressions aren't brilliant - it's larger and heavier than most others (including Shimano), and drag doesn't feel anything special. But it won't be available until the Spring sometime, so we'll see what it's like then.
The SRAM SPARC electric motor system gets a NiMH battery instead of the frankly weedy Lead-Acid it used to have. Range and life should be a lot better than before, but it will also probably put quite a bit on the price. We'll know more about that as soon as the UK SRAM distributors decide if/when they'll import it... |

Im interested in this machine but would like a test ride. Do you know where I can go to do this? |

Well, there are a few in the UK - we decided not to take any, as the SPARC drive is underpowered and overpriced in my opinion, but the Dahon distributors might know who has one:

Don't forget that we can fit the far superior Heinzmann to any Dahon |
