The Urban Exploration website 28DaysLater has a fantastic report from the Paris Catacombs – a massive network of chambers and tunnels under Paris. One part is a wartime bunker, which used a row of stationary tandems to provide electricity!

Well, technically new
The story is that I sent a wheel to a customer in Australia three years ago, but TNT lost it and then denied all responsibility – so I sent a replacement to Oz. Then, this week, a slightly battered box arrived from TNT, containing the lost wheel – it looks like it’s been sitting sad and lonely in a TNT depot all this time.
It’s ot quite like a new Rohloff – the hub is powdercoated instead of anodised and it has a sticker instead of a laser-etched logo, but it’s basically brand new and totally unused. I didn’t think it’d be fair to sell it as new, so I’ve put it on eBay instead.
It’s in my eBay shop, along with some Brompton spares and some camera stuff…

It took a lot more bodging than I thought it would, but I’ve just finished the first Brompton with the new wide-range Sturmey Archer 8-speed hub. Now I know how to do it, the other 10 on the waiting list will be easy
This bike also has a Mountain Drive…
