For the past 20 years they have concentrated on electric motors, and have been building bicycle motors for about 8 years. The Heinzmann 
The handlebar-mounted throttle controls the power - it is “proportional” - i.e. you get full control of the power, not just on and off like cheaper systems. The throttle comes in a twist version (shown) or a thumb version.
The charger is a “smart” charger - while charging, it continuously monitors the battery to make sure it fills it as quickly and safely as possible. 
The custom rear carrier is designed to hold one or two batteries either side of the wheel. The controller fits at the top, just under the top plate of the carrier. If you order an Estelle with one battery, an empty battery box is provided for storage on the other side - if you order a kit with one battery, the other side is empty, although an empty box can be provided if you wish.
