Trailer design is always a compromise - two-wheel trailers can carry a lot of luggage as the weight is directly over the axle, but they’re too wide for narrow tracks. Single-wheel trailers are narrow enough, but the small wheel at the back doesn’t roll as well as a large wheel, and the weight is forward of the wheel. The Extrawheel is different - a large 26” or 700c wheel is as free-rolling as the bike’s wheels, the weight is directly over the axles, and it’s a very, very simple and tough design. You can carry your own bags in the side nets, or the Extrawheel can come with it’s own 40-litre or 60-litre bags. The hitch and pivots are very clever - the towing yoke is made out of springy steel with hardened steel cups, and these just clip over the ends of a special quick release - no pivots, no pins to lose.
