The clever thing about Purple Extreme is it’s incredibly high film strength - so it’ll keep a slippery surface between things, preventing wear. Originally developed for the offshore drilling industry, it won’t wash off, fling off or attract grit.

Profi Dry Lube:

The stuff that HPVelotechnik recommend, and I use it all the time in the workshop. Profi is a spray lube, which dries extremely quickly to leave a waxy and very slippery coating behind. It penetrates well, and is very resistant to the Scottish climate! It was originally developed for motorbike chains.
