Shimano dynamo hubs used to be a bit - erm - agricultural. They have learned quickly, though, and these new hubs are very impressive. We’ve got two new versions in stock - quality-wise, they are up at XT or Ultegra level. Drag is a lot less than earlier models - still not quite as good as SON hubs, but excellent for the price. The “Ultegra” hub is highly polished and looks fantastic - the “XT” one has a more matt shotblasted finish, and is disc-brake ready with a fitting for Shimano’s centre-lock discs. Both hubs have a quick connection for bare wires, and have quick-release axles. |
