A rare conversion, this aluminium-framed version of the Brompton was made by Merc I think. I replaced the very worn frame bushes, and fitted disc brakes and Rohloff hub.
Ross’s Fatbike
This is an experimental fatbike frame, with a very short chainstay length of 430mm.
Paragon dropouts, PF30 bottom bracket, 44mm head tube, and made mostly from Reynolds 853.
White Rohloff Disc Brompton
This was a fun bike to build, with loads of upgrades – Rohloff hub and Hope discs of course, but also Brooks saddle and grips, Hope headset, SON lighting and some Brompfication upgrades.
This was a new chainset to try too, quite a retro look!

Blue Rohloff Brompton
I really liked the colour combination of this one – a lovely bright blue Brompton with Rohloff hub and disc brakes.
I also filmed me folding it, to show how quick the folding is – identical to folding a normal Brompton:
Nickel Plated Brompton
An interesting, and quite difficult job this one – this frame was stripped and nickel plated to give a beautiful finish.
With red Rohloff hub gear and Hope hub at the front, and disc brakes.
His & Hers Bromptons
A matching pair of Bromptons – custom paint, Rohloff hubs, SON lighting…
The advantage of stainless rear triangles is they can be left unpainted, just wire brushed.
Grey & Red Brompton
This was an interesting project – a very modified Brompton:
The frame was repainted grey, and it got Rohloff hub and disc brakes, with a new design of integral rear carrier.
Lots of red anodised details, including a Hope headset.
Hannah’s Racerunner
I didn’t even know what a Racerunner was when Hannah approached me to build this – it was an interesting learning experience, though, and worked out half the weight of her previous one. It also splits in half for transport.
Four-Person Bicycle
This was a rush job – a four-person bike built in two weeks for a marketing roadshow.
It had S&S couplings fitted to make it a little easier to transport, and a beefy stand to hold it upright with four people sitting on it.
Bernard’s Recumbent Tandem Trike
Bernard wanted a recumbent tandem trike for riding in Cumbria.
The frame was made from mostly 4130 chromoly steel tubing.
S&S couplings allow it to separate for transport.
