The Rohloff Hub can only fit into the dropouts one way, with the axle plate on the left side slotted into the long slot on the frame. The skewer then goes in from the right side, and holds the tensioner on – note the reversed black collar under the head of the Allen bolt, this goes inside the tensioner.
Then on the left side, the black skewer nut screws on, and then tighten the bolt from the right. In this pic below you can also see the axle plate slotted into the dropout.
On the handlebars, it can be a bit cramped with M or H bars – so what I do is move the bell to the left side and cut off part of the brake lever so it can be moved further inwards. I then cut down the grip and fit it reversed.
